Early Life and Education

Ratan Naval Tata was born in Mumbai to Naval Tata and Sonoo Tata. Despite the fame of the Tata family, Ratan faced challenges during his childhood due to his parents’ separation when he was just 10 years old. His grandmother, Lady Navajbai Tata, played a significant role in raising him.

Ratan Tata’s educational background is exemplary. He completed his early education at the Campion School in Mumbai and later attended the prestigious Cathedral and John Connon School. He then pursued a degree in architecture from Cornell University in the U.S., where his passion for design and innovation began to blossom.
